LSA has designed several hotels in the AmeriSuites chain. The facility in Fort Worth has a very distinct style and required thorough coordination with the interior decorator as well as the AmeriSuites staff to make this project, located in the heart of the historic Stockyards, a success. As LSA developed the prototype for this hotel corporation, space coordination, energy use, and cost efficiency were the goals and challenges that faced the design team. Humidity control on the guest room floors, as well as in the pool area became a focus for the mechanical systems. This was accomplished using both packaged and built-up systems controlled by multi –point sensors. One focus in any hotel project is to find the most economical method to construct the electrical system that minimizes home run length, panel quantity, and installation efficiency. Specialty lighting fixtures were selected and coordinated with the interior decorator to provide the desired effects for the specialized interiors.
