LSA provided the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, and fire protection design for the new 300,000 square foot security hospital at Larned. Enclosed within the facility are the following functions/programs: kitchen and (3) dining areas; visitation areas (including video visiting); 9 living units; vocational/activity spaces (gymnasium, multipurpose rooms, library, chapel, canteen, greenhouse, garden); medical care facility to serve hospital as well as entire LSH campus; 8 bed infirmary to serve hospital as well as entire LSH campus; and enclosed outdoor recreation yard.
