USD 501 - Topeka High Gymnasium
LSA provided the MEP design for the new gymnasium for Topeka High School. This new building contains the gymnasium, locker rooms and lobby.
Modulating gas-fired units were designed to serve the gymnasium with future room for DX coil.
An energy recovery unit was designed for the locker rooms.
An air handling unit with DX coil and two-stage gas fired duct heater was designed for the main lobby area.
Two water heaters with recalculating hot water lines were designed to serve the locker rooms.
600 Amp main distribution panel was designed to serve the entire building.
All the units are controlled through automated logic DDC system located in the main high school building.
