The construction of a new three story, 22,000 square foot grandstand that will house the press box and ticket booth facilitated the need of a total telecommunications solution. The design of the system includes a main telecommunications room on the main level and an intermediate telecommunications room on the third floor. Fiber and copper was placed in the backbone that will link to the campus network where voice, data, and life safety systems are accessed. The horizontal cable system includes fiber, copper and coax that will be used to support voice, data and video needs within the building. The university has a point of sales network that will also be supported via network infrastructure within this facility. A bonding and grounding system was included with the design of the telecommunications network in this building.
