A complete telecommunications solution was provided for this facility. The intra-building structured cabling system of fiber, copper and coax provides the users with voice, data and video services. The campus outside plant backbone system integrates the various services throughout the state hospital grounds. This 301,143 square foot facility houses patients that are under the jurisdiction of the Department of Corrections and the court system. A bonding and grounding system is also included as part of the design as well as a satellite system head end to distribute signal throughout the Larned State Security Hospital.
Housing is broken down as follows:
1. Residential Community One:
a. A 20-bed living unit for female housing.
b. A 20-bed living unit for male security behavior.
c. A 30-bed living unit for male evaluation.
2. Residential Community Two:
a. Three 30-bed living units for male housing.
3. Residential Community Three:
a. Three 30-bed living units for male housing.
