Ellsworth Hall Renovation
Ellsworth Hall underwent a complete telecommunications renovation. This ten story, 150,000 square foot student dormitory building included the design and construction of a new main telecommunications room in the basement. Intermediate telecommunications closets were required on each end of the ten floors. The backbone was designed utilizing, copper, fiber and coax between the main telecommunications room and each of the intermediate telecommunications rooms. The horizontal cabling system on each floor is comprised of copper, fiber and coax. The network infrastructure provides residents of Ellsworth Hall with a way to meet their voice, data and video needs. Connectivity to the main campus backbone for voice, data, video, and life safety was also provided. A complete design for the required bonding and grounding needs of the facility was included in the project.
