Echo Ridge

The Echo Ridge Community is a duplex neighborhood developed by the Topeka Housing Authority as a Green Community initiative serving Topeka residents. This project has 34 duplex buildings that share a common groundsource loop that each duplex can draw from to heat and cool the homes. Other energy saving items include LED lighting, Energy Star appliances and fixtures and domestic water pre-heating via the unit heat pump.

Stonepost Ranch Apartments

This new 291-unit apartment complex in Lenexa, Kansas consists of 21 buildings with 13-14 units each. The complex includes interior garages, carports, a clubhouse, maintenance building, and pool. A tight schedule and several different apartment types and building types made for a challening project design schedule. Several systems were studied to find the cost-to-benefit ratio that the owner was looking for. The clubhouse was studied with the interior designer to provide lighting systems that provided a welcoming environment for residents and prospective residents alike.
