Several challenges faced the design team with two 1920's school buildings that had been connected over time with a Commons link. The end result was to be elderly apartments in two LEED certified buildings on the Historic Register. The Commons area was demolished, leaving two separate buildings with green space between. LSA performed plumbing, mechanical and electrical design within the brick structures and were able to meet the intended goals. The developer was pleased as the units were full even prior to completing the project.
