Security Benefit Group - New Corporate Headquarters

The Security Benefit Group headquarters is a 320,000 s.f. corporate office building located on SBG's 50 acre campus and is also home to seven separate satellite buildings. Working directly with the owner, the goal of this project was to provide a customized state-of-the-art facility that would meet the needs of SBG far into the 21st century. Some of the unique MEP features that were implemented to meet these objectives include: 1) Underfloor Supply Air Distribution; 2) Networked Personnel Environment Modules; 3) Computerized lighting control for all building lighting circuits; 4) LEED design of an MEP, HVAC mechanical system; 5) Wireless thermostats; 6) Award Winning Lighting Design; 7) Underfloor modular wiring system serving 700 workstations

Kansas Statehouse Preservation and Restoration

This multi-phase, $150 million restoration project involves a complete renovation of the first through fifth floors of the historic Kansas Statehouse as well as expansion of the basement and a new 550-car, bi-level underground parking garage. Special consideration is taken to preserve the historical characteristics of the building while maximizing the building's function with massive improvements to the electrical, heating, plumbing, and cooling systems as well as upgrades to the telecommunications infrastructure.
