Benedictine College – Academic Center
This 57,000 SF academic building for Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas is currently under construction and will be completed in January of 2012. The four-story building, which overlooks the Missouri river, will house three floors of classrooms and offices and, on the top floor - meeting spaces, administrative offices and a multi-purpose room.
LSA provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, fire sprinkler, telecom and security design for the building. Carbon dioxide sensors were provided for ventilation control. Daylight sensors were provided for daylight control.
This project is on track to achieve LEED certification from the US Green Building Council.
