KaMMCo
This project involved a 35,000 SF addition and 26,000 SF remodel of the Kansas Medical Mutual Insurance Company (KaMMCO) and Kansas Medical Society (KMS) building. The MEP design involved updating the existing boiler plant and main electrical circuit breaker panel board to accommodate the new addition and renovated areas.
The design work for the remodeled areas involved the following improvements: VAV boxes and luminaires were replaced; plumbing, HVAC, electrical, lighting and fire alarm systems were reworked to accommodate the new floor plan; the existing fire alarm system was replaced; all pneumatic controls in the existing building were replaced with DDC controls; emergency branch panel boards were provided in the existing building to feed emergency lighting, an emergency computer, and stand-by heating loads; and a new sprinkler system was installed.
