The Village Transitional Housing Complex - Washburn University
This project involved the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design of a new 62,000 square foot complex consisting of four apartment buildings and a clubhouse located on the campus of Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. The apartment units have two and four bedroom suites. LSA also performed telecom design that is connected to the campus.
University of Kansas - Lewis Hall
This project involved renovation of the existing dormitory building (excluding the cafeteria) to create new apartment suites. The systems designed by LSA included Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Alarm, and Sprinkler. This project was designed to retain use of the existing chiller and cooling tower. It did, however, incorporate the use of new high efficiency (92%) boilers and domestic hot water heaters. During this project, the cafeteria remained in full operation.
