Ellsworth Hall Renovations - University of Kansas
Renovation of existing 10-story, 150,000 square foot dormitory including upgrades of the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems. Specific system components included high-efficiency (92%) boilers and domestic water heaters, a diesel powered emergency generator, and a heat recovery system for restroom exhaust and make-up air. During this renovation, the NTS and 911 fiber optics were relocated and routed through this building, requiring special provisions to be made by LSA. The Campus Security Command Center, housed in this building, was also kept intact during the renovation.
