2014 Integrated Installation of the Year Award

 

Highlands Lodge recently won the “2014 Integrated Installation of the Year Award” a national award for fully integrated security, automation, fire, video surveillance and access control systems (see attached article).  The fiber-based system at Highlands features remote management capabilities and includes 24 megapixel cameras, 12 telephone entry systems and 21 proximity readers, and six fire panels and 300+ fire detection/annunciation devices.  LSA served as design engineer on this project.

 

National ACEC Engineering Excellence Award

Echo Ridge, a green housing community located in Topeka, was presented with the Engineering Excellence Award by the American Council of Engineering Companies in 2012.

Excellence in Construction Award

The Associated Builders & Contractors, South Texas Chapter, have announced that Galaxy Builders, Ltd. and the design consultants of The Lakes at University Park have been awarded the 2011 Excellence in Construction Award for the Residential Retirement Facility category.

Kansas City Business Journal Capstone Award

For the historical renovation of Hyde Park Apartments in Kansas City, Missouri and Northeast Junior High Place in Kansas City, Kansas, 2010.

Kansas Preservation Alliance Award of Excellence

For the outstanding restoration of Northeast Junior High Place, 2009.

The Kansas Consulting Engineers presented LSA with First Place in the under 10,000 population category for their work on the Coffey County Household Hazardous Waste and Noxious Weed Recycling Complex, 1998.

Governor’s New Product Award

Kansas Engineering Society, Governor John Carlin, and the Kansas Business News present the 1982-1983 Governor’s New Product Award to Latimer, Miller, Sommers & Wallace for their Refrigerated Mini-Container.
